Meet Bleep!

I'd modeled this guy a while ago, and am finally now getting around to rigging him. He's almost finished, but I want to test him out and decide whether or not to add anything else to him before declaring him "officially" done.

Learning how to make a rivet deformer!

I have a couple of days on my hands, so I thought I'd try some new-to-me rigging techniques---all the things I've had on my to-do list for the last few months and never got around to!

Tonight's experiment is the rivet deformer thing-a-ma-bob. Later on, I want to try to rig a piece of rope in the near future, and even though it'll probably be with an IK-spline (that's what I'm thinking right now, although it's subject to change), it might be nice to have some controls that can deform in a more local capacity. So, I need to learn about these rivets.

They're kind of cool. They'll probably need a little finessing, to get the deformations working more smoothly, but for now, I'm alright with the result!

4K Renders

Slowly scratching the items off of my never-ending to-do list! Finished sorting through what had been printed or burned and what still needed to be dealt with... saw my 4K renders and thought I'd stick 'em up here!

Work in Progress

I've been working on an environment, and thought I would post its progress to date here. I'm still working on it, so hopefully soon I'll be able to post more.

First stage, starting to set up the four sides of the room.

Second stage, finished modelling more of the props.

Third stage, started sculpting the cave walls.

Fourth stage, did a bit more sculpting and started working on the lighting.

Artwork...

...I just posted this to a static page, but I think I'll stick this in the main blog area, too.
